What kind of dog do I need? This would be an inside dog for the most part. A breed that doesn't shed mercifully, and is fairly easy to care for. Medium sized, maybe 25 inches or less. I'd like a playful dog, but not a hyperactive one. :lmao: Any suggestions? Would it be better for me to go to the Humane Society and just look around? dunno

Yes! Go save a dog's life and you'll be forever attached to it!

Yea, sounds like a plan. There's one in Tuscaloosa, and they have internet listings. :lmao: http://www.humanesocietyofwa.org/index.html Only $75 for a pet that has been spayed or neutered, but $100 more for one that has not.

I got my dog at the local Humane Society, and she's a great dog. I saw in another thread you brought up possibly getting a Jack Russel, and if you don't want a hyperactive dog, Jack Russel's are NOT the dog for you aniteef

A friend of mine had a little rat terrier, and it was an awesome dog.

Ah, the rat terrier my friend had wasn't that hyper, it was an awesome, very loyal dog. That's the only rat terrier I've ever known dunno

English Springer Spaniels aren't that big, and neither are Brittany Spaniels, though Brittany's can be pretty hyper.

English Bulldog is the only way to go then. Pretty lazy, but they have the ultimate cool factor.
